Leslie Silver, PhD, is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 18591) with over 30 years of clinical experience who is the owner and director of the Davis Anxiety Treatment Center in Davis, California. Dr. Silver received undergraduate degree at the University of California at Berkeley in 1988 and graduated with a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (now Alliant University) in 1996.


In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Silver has taught cognitive-behavioral theory and technique at the Wright Institute in Berkeley and to psychiatry residents at the University of California Davis School of Medicine.


Dr. Silver provides cognitive-behavioral theory and technique supervision and consultation to both clinicians in training and established therapists in the field of psychology.

 

Prior to her work at the Davis Anxiety Treatment Center, Dr. Silver worked at: the East Bay Anxiety Treatment Center in Berkeley, the Haight Ashbury Psychological Services in San Francisco, Kaiser Permanente's Psychiatry Department in San Francisco, San Francisco General Hospital Depression Clinic, and with the Berkeley Police Department doing crisis intervention. Dr. Silver started her clinical work as a social worker, working with senior citizens in low-income neighborhoods in San Francisco and New York city.

 

In her time away from her clinical work at the Davis Anxiety Treatment Center, Dr. Silver is producing a documentary film, titled NO HOME HERE, which features different stories of currently unsheltered individuals, to provide insight into this complex problem.


Dr. Silver lives with her husband in Davis. When not working, Dr. Silver enjoys exercise, the outdoors, gardening, cooking, listening to live music and spending time with her husband and her three adult children.
